At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Caterpillar
unveiled a new wave of artificial intelligence and autonomous innovations,
reinforcing its vision to transform heavy equipment into intelligent, connected
systems that power global infrastructure development.

A key highlight was the launch of the Cat
AI Assistant, a conversational AI solution that integrates Caterpillar’s
digital applications with trusted, high-quality data from the Helios unified
data platform. Designed to support customers from the office to the jobsite—and
eventually inside the cab—the AI Assistant helps turn data into actionable
insights for faster, more informed decision-making.

Caterpillar also announced an expanded
collaboration with NVIDIA, aimed at accelerating AI adoption across onboard
machine intelligence, industrial-scale AI agents, and smarter, safer
manufacturing systems. By combining NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure with
Caterpillar’s deep expertise in real-world applications, the partnership sets a
new benchmark for industrial innovation.

Building on more than 30 years of leadership in autonomous mining, Caterpillar showcased five autonomous construction machines designed to operate safely and reliably in complex jobsite environments.
In addition, the company committed USD 25 million over five years to workforce development through a Global Innovation Challenge, underscoring its belief that talent remains the most critical foundation for a more sustainable, technology-driven future.
