Sunward Intelligent has recently carried out a large-scale service campaign across Gansu Province, China, visiting key construction areas including Lanzhou, Zhangye and Jinchang. The initiative aims to strengthen after-sales support, better understand equipment operating conditions and collect frontline feedback for future product development.
During the campaign, Sunward’s service team traveled hundreds of kilometers across remote Gobi and mountainous areas to reach customers and construction equipment. In some locations, the team had to rely on local workers and radio communication to locate machines working deep in the mountains.
One highlight was a SWE600F large excavator operating at a pumped-storage hydropower project in Zhangye. More than ten Sunward excavators and drilling machines were working together at the site. Service engineers and R&D specialists conducted detailed inspections of hydraulic systems, undercarriage components and other key parts while communicating directly with operators about machine performance, fuel consumption, visibility and high-altitude operation.
The team also gathered suggestions for product improvements. For example, one operator recommended adding an additional working light beneath the cab to improve visibility during nighttime operations. Such feedback will be brought back to Sunward’s R&D team for further evaluation.
At another construction site, a long-term customer shared his positive experience with a SWE80F excavator, saying the machine had generated significant returns while working in medicinal herb excavation.
Through this service campaign, Sunward Intelligent demonstrated its commitment to customer-focused service and continuous product improvement. In challenging environments across Northwest China, its service teams continue to support equipment reliability and help customers maximize machine productivity.
