Technical Guide: Essential Pre-Start Checks for Trailer-Mounted Concrete Pumps
Publication Date: 2026-08-18   Promulgator:Admin   Clicks:4 Back
Before operating a trailer-mounted concrete pump, proper preparation is essential for safe and reliable pumping performance. First, position the pump on firm, approximately level ground, ensuring all four outriggers are fully supported and the tires are not carrying the machine load. On soft ground, use timber or support boards to prevent settlement.

Next, inspect the concrete delivery pipeline, ensuring straight pipes are properly aligned, the layout is appropriate, and all pipe joints are securely sealed. Check that the water tank and hopper contain sufficient water, and verify the hydraulic oil and grease levels. Manually operate the lubrication pump to confirm proper grease delivery.

Inspect electrical connections for looseness or damage, confirm all switches are OFF, and briefly jog the motor to verify its rotation. Before starting, ensure the hopper grate and discharge gate are closed and free of foreign objects.

In cold weather, allow the pump to run without load until the hydraulic oil reaches above 20°C. Finally, conduct a 10-minute no-load test to verify pressure readings, mixer reverse operation, and forward/reverse pumping functions.
