KOBELCO Construction Machinery has expanded its demolition excavator lineup with the new SK650DLC-11, a heavy-duty machine designed to provide contractors with greater flexibility for large-scale building demolition projects.
Powered by a 463-horsepower Isuzu 6WG1 Tier 4 Final engine, the SK650DLC-11 has an operating weight of approximately 166,400 to 178,100 pounds, depending on configuration. The machine can be equipped with multiple front-end configurations to handle different demolition requirements.
The excavator offers four main configurations. With a separate digging boom, it provides a pin height of 50 feet 2 inches and supports tools weighing up to 13,450 pounds. When equipped with a three-piece high-reach front and insert boom, the machine can reach approximately 92 feet 7 inches, with a maximum tool weight of 8,160 pounds.
Transportability is another key feature. Its hydraulic variable undercarriage can retract to approximately 10 feet 6 inches wide for transportation and expand to around 13 feet 9 inches on site. The counterweight can also be removed, reducing the base-machine weight to approximately 109,000 pounds.
For high-reach demolition, the SK650DLC-11 features a tilting cab, protective glazing, Level II operator protection and a falling-object deflector. A stability warning system and cab-interference prevention system further enhance operational safety.
With flexible attachment options, simplified assembly and transport-focused design, the SK650DLC-11 provides demolition contractors with a versatile platform for demanding construction and demolition applications.
